Dive beneath azure waters
With an abundance of great dive sites, many can be reached straight from the shore with no need for boats. If you do fancy getting a little further out to sea or diving beneath Gozo’s towering cliffs, however, you can take your pick of boat dives too. Or choose from one several fully certified diving schools to take your first dive - guaranteed to hook you for life!
One of Gozo’s most popular dive sites is the Blue Hole at Dwejra. Dive down into the depths of the hole and you’ll find enchanting scholes of fish and awe-inspiring rock formations, not least the arch that leads you from the Blue Hole out into the open sea. Other breath-taking dive sites include the 55-metre tunnel at Xlendi, Mġarr ix-Xini’s valley, with its meadow grass and caves, and Ta’ Ċenċ, where you can dive in the shadow of Gozo’s tallest cliffs.
