Uncover Gozo’s past and present at its many museums

On an island that has such a wealth of history and culture, it’s really no wonder there are so many fascinating museums. In the ancient fortified city of Ċittadella in Gozo’s capital, Victoria, you’ll find a cluster of museums, including the Museum of Archeology, the Gozo Nature Museum, the Old Prison and the Battery.

But even outside of the capital, there’s no shortage of exhibitions to be explored on a Gozo holiday, from maritime memorabilia at the Kelinu Grima Maritime Museum, to the historic tools and recreated living quarters at Ta’ Kola Windmill. For art lovers, there are also plenty of art galleries and exhibitions, mostly scattered around Victoria.
